July 28, 2025: Prepare for a baseball experience like no other! The Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds will play each other at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the first MLB Speedway Classic. This never-before-seen event is likely to draw a record-breaking audience to a place that usually hosts exciting NASCAR races.

Major League Baseball has a history of playing games in places other than regular stadiums. For example, they have played at soccer stadiums in London, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and even the famous “Field of Dreams” in Iowa. But turning “The Last Great Colosseum” into a baseball diamond is a big step forward for the league.

You can feel the excitement in the air, and early ticket sales show that more than 85,000 people will be there. This amazing number would break the long-standing record for regular-season attendance of 84,587, which was achieved at the old Cleveland Stadium in 1954 during a doubleheader between the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians) and the New York Yankees on September 12, 1954.
