T20 World Cup Schedule 2024 Highlights: India vs Pakistan in New York, final in Barbados on June 29

India and Pakistan will play each other for the first time in a long-running rivalry in cricket history on June 9 in New York. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the plan for the upcoming T20 World Cup on Friday. The ICC announced the competition’s schedule on Friday.

On June 1, the tournament will begin. The West Indies and the US will both hold it. Ireland, Pakistan, Canada, and the US are all in Group A, along with India. Ten of the 20 teams will play their first game in the US over the course of 29 days. 16 games will take place in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York, and the big match between India and Pakistan on June 9 will take place at the brand-new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island. In the first game on June 1, the US will play Canada. On the second day of group play, the West Indies will host and play Papua New Guinea in Guyana. The Men in Blue’s first game will be on June 5 against Ireland. On June 9, they will play their second game of the event against their biggest rivals, Pakistan. Canada and the USA will be the last two teams they play, on June 12 and June 15, respectively.

The T20 World Cup will have 20 teams this time, up from 16 teams in 2022 in Australia. The Super 8 stage will be made up of the top two teams from each group. There are six venues in the West Indies (Kensington Oval, Barbados; Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad; Providence Stadium, Guyana; Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua; Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, St. Lucia; and Arnos Vale Stadium, St. Vincent) and three venues in the USA (Eisenhower Park, New York; Lauderhill, Florida; and Grand Prairie, Texas) where the 55 games will be played. From June 1 to June 18, the Group Stage will be played. From June 19 to June 24, the Super 8 game will be played. The semi-finals of the last four stages will be played on June 26 and 27.

The game is over on June 29. English and Australian, the last two winners of the Men’s T20 World Cup, are in Group B. They will play Namibia, Scotland, and Oman. The West Indies are in Group C with New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea. In Group D, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal are all playing each other.
