This Is Why Virat Kohli Removes All Advertisement Posts From His Instagram Page, See Video

April 15, 2025: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) star opener, Virat Kohli, recently opened up about his decision to reset his Instagram page during a conversation with Mr. Nags, a character played by content creator Danish Sait, on RCB’s show. Kohli, who has been one of the most prominent athletes on social media, explained why he decided to archive his promotional posts.

In the show, Mr. Nags humorously questioned Kohli about the rise in his endorsement value after his impressive performances in the Champions Trophy and World Cup, to which Kohli confirmed that his value had indeed gone up.

Mr. Nags then playfully asked if that was the reason behind Kohli archiving all his previous promotional posts. Kohli responded, explaining that he was in a very “interesting space” with social media at the moment. “Currently, I am not in a place where I am engaging too much. It definitely needs a reset,” he said.

Kohli’s Instagram Reset

Contrary to what some fans may have believed, Kohli did not delete any promotional posts. He merely archived them from his Instagram grid, meaning these posts are no longer visible on his main profile but are still accessible via his archived posts. Promotional reels have not been deleted either, and they can still be found on his Instagram feed.

Kohli’s decision to reset his Instagram was more about adjusting his social media presence and engagement rather than completely removing his past promotional work. This move comes as part of his personal space with social media, showing that Kohli is taking a step back from the constant engagement, seeking a fresh start.

Kohli’s Form in IPL 2025

Off the field, Kohli has been in fantastic form for RCB in the ongoing IPL 2025. He is currently the team’s leading run-scorer with 248 runs from six innings at an average of 62, which includes three half-centuries. His strike rate has been an impressive 143.35, and he is a serious contender for the Orange Cap.

Kohli’s explosive opening partner, Phil Salt, has also been in fine touch, maintaining a strike rate of 185.71 and scoring 208 runs from six innings. The two have complemented each other well at the top of the order.

In their previous match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur, Kohli played a match-winning innings, scoring an unbeaten 62 to guide RCB to a successful run chase. Currently, RCB sits in third place on the points table with four wins from six matches, and their next match is against Shreyas Iyer’s Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 18 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Kohli’s performance on and off the field continues to inspire fans, and his approach to managing his social media presence gives a glimpse into the balance he is striving to maintain in his personal and professional life.
