January 2, 2025: Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is grappling with severe financial difficulties, reportedly living without a phone for the last six months due to unpaid repair charges. Once a celebrated batter, Kambli’s financial troubles have come to light after he was recently hospitalised for blood clots in his brain and a urinary tract infection.
According to reports, Kambli’s iPhone was taken away by a shopkeeper after he failed to pay a ₹15,000 repair fee. Despite receiving a ₹30,000 monthly pension from the BCCI and financial aid of ₹5 lakh from a political party, his financial woes persist.
