📍Bengaluru | April 24, 2025:
Virat Kohli added another milestone to his legendary career on Thursday as he became the first cricketer in the world to score 3500 T20 runs at a single venue — the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The feat came during the high-octane IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Earlier in the evening, RR’s stand-in captain Riyan Parag won the toss and elected to field. RCB openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave their team a brisk start before Salt fell to Wanindu Hasaranga for 26. At the time of Salt’s dismissal, RCB stood at 61/1 in 6.4 overs, with Kohli already looking solid at the crease.
Kohli reached the historic milestone with a trademark flick to the boundary and was met with thunderous applause from the home crowd. He was batting on 34 off 23 balls at the 8.3 over mark, partnered by Devdutt Padikkal.
