Where to watch in India and key medal events to look out for

February 10, 2026: The Winter Olympics 2026, one of the world’s biggest international multi-sport events held every four years, brings together top athletes to compete in snow- and ice-based disciplines governed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Indian viewers can catch the live streaming of the Games on the JioHotstar app and website, while Sports18 is broadcasting the events live on television. The tournament features a wide range of sports including alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, curling, figure skating, ice hockey, snowboarding and speed skating.

While the Games are already underway, several marquee events are still lined up. Men’s figure skating takes centre stage on February 13, followed by the women’s alpine skiing slalom on February 18. February 19 promises high drama with the women’s figure skating final, the women’s ice hockey gold medal match, and the historic debut of ski mountaineering, which will award its first-ever Olympic gold medals.

Unlike the Summer Olympics, which focus on track and field, swimming and gymnastics, the Winter Games are dedicated exclusively to ice and snow sports. Though smaller in scale, the Winter Olympics demand immense technical skill and endurance, making them equally thrilling for sports fans worldwide.
