Brock Lesnar made a shocking return to deliver an F5 to John Cena, just moments after a brutal Street Fight saw Cody Rhodes finally defeat Cena to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
August 4, 2025: The end of Night 2 of WWE SummerSlam 2025 was quite exciting and surprising. After being gone for two years, Brock Lesnar smacked John Cena with an F5. The attack happened soon after Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship by beating Cena in the main event.

The main event was a tough Street bout, which was a rematch of their WrestleMania bout from earlier this year. Rhodes escaped five Attitude Adjustments from Cena and won the contest with a sixth Cross Rhodes. This was an emotional moment for him because he won the belt.

There were a lot of title defenses and changes that night, and they were all very important:
Naomi kept her WWE Women’s World Championship in a grueling Triple Threat match against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.
Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy) were able to keep their WWE Tag Team Titles in a chaotic Six-Pack TLC Match, even when Uncle Howdy and Erick Rowan got involved.
In a No DQ match, Becky Lynch kept the Women’s Intercontinental Title against Lyra Valkyria. Bayley helped her by mistake.
Solo Sikoa won the U.S. Title in a Steel Cage Match against Jacob Fatu with support from his MFT pals.
Dominik Mysterio defended the Intercontinental Title against AJ Styles in a match that paid tribute to the late Eddie Guerrero.
Lesnar’s return, which is his first since suing former WWE chairman Vince McMahon in 2024, has stunned the WWE Universe and made the championship scenario much more interesting.
