March 21, 2025: Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has confirmed that he will captain India at the second edition of the World Championship of Legends (WCL), set to take place in July 2025 in the United Kingdom. The prestigious tournament is backed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and will feature a host of cricketing legends from around the world.
Yuvraj, who led India to victory in the inaugural edition of the tournament, will once again take charge of the team, which includes former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, making his debut in the tournament following his retirement from international cricket last year.
Reflecting on the upcoming tournament, Yuvraj said, “I’m looking forward to representing our nation at the World Championship of Legends again. The memories of our victory in the first edition of the tournament, alongside my teammates, will always remain close to my heart.”
The previous edition of the WCL saw stunning performances from Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, Irfan & Yusuf Pathan, and several other cricketing stalwarts from India. The India Champions, owned by Sumant Bahl, Salman Ahmed, and Jaspal Bahra, are gearing up for the tournament’s second season. The second edition of the World Championship of Legends will take place at Edgbaston in the UK, where Team India Champions will battle against top international stars from Australia, West Indies, England, Pakistan, and South Africa.
