After four years of marriage, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma are reportedly living separately, with divorce proceedings expected soon.
January 6, 2025: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer-turned-social media influencer Dhanashree Verma are reportedly heading for a divorce after over four years of marriage. According to unnamed sources cited by the Times of India, the couple has been living separately for over three months, and a formal separation seems inevitable.

Trouble in Paradise
Chahal and Dhanashree, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in December 2020, have been making headlines recently as eagle-eyed fans noticed the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram. Adding to the speculation, Chahal reportedly deleted most of their shared photos and videos from his social media account, signaling a significant strain in their relationship.
Sources close to the couple revealed: “The divorce is inevitable, and it’s only a matter of time before it becomes official. The exact reasons for their separation are not yet known, but the couple has decided to move on with their lives separately.”

Social Media Observations
While Chahal has removed traces of their relationship from his profile, Dhanashree’s Instagram account still retains older pictures of the duo, suggesting a more gradual transition.
This isn’t the first time rumors about their split have surfaced. In 2022, similar speculation made rounds on social media, which Chahal had dismissed with a post on his Instagram story, stating: “A humble request to you all to not believe in any sort of rumors pertaining to our relationship. Kindly, put an end to it.”
Chahal’s Cricketing Journey Amid Personal Turmoil
While the alleged split dominates headlines, Chahal continues to make waves professionally. Despite being out of the Indian national team since August 2023, he recently secured a record-breaking ₹18 crore deal with the Punjab Kings during the IPL 2025 auction, making him the most expensive spinner in IPL history.
Neither Chahal nor Dhanashree has officially commented on the matter, and fans remain hopeful for clarity in the coming days.
