‘Succession’ wins Best Drama Series award: Golden Globes 2024

The highly regarded television programme “Succession” has won the Golden Globe for Best Dramatic Series in 2024. The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California is the host of the 81st Golden Globes. The #GoldenGlobes award for Best Drama Series goes to… Succession! Golden Globe shared a post on their official handle on X, formerly Twitter. The 81st Golden Globes saw nine nominations for “Succession.” In addition, actress Sarah Snook won the Best Television Female Actor Drama Series award for her role in “Succession’s” last season.

The winners of the acting and supporting actor categories earlier in the evening were Kieran Culkin and Matthew Macfadyen, the stars of “Succession.” “I kind of hoped that I wouldn’t have to stand up! Usually, Kieran does the speeches better. Would you rather stand up now? Sarah thanked creator Jesse Armstrong and her family before saying, “You take it instead,” as she took the stage. “Everyone in this show was incredible, and it has completely changed my life.

The crew and cast were excellent. This was a group endeavour. Variety states, “I think what made the show amazing to be a part of was that it was always a team.” She joked, “This room is so intimidating!” before concluding. According to Variety, Snook defeated Emma Stone (“The Curse”), Imelda Staunton (“The Crown”), Keri Russell (“The Diplomat”), Helen Mirren (“1923”), and Bella Ramsey (“The Last of Us”).
