Noida authorities told the Supreme Court today that Supertech’s twin 40-storey towers in its Emerald Court project will be demolished completely by May 22nd.
The demolition of twin residential towers – Apex and Ceyane of Supertech in Noida’s Sector 93A began a week ago after more than a 100 workers were deployed to demolish the walls of the twin towers.
Real estate group Supertech signed a contract with Mumbai-based Edifice Engineering for the demolition work of the two 40-storey buildings.
On February 7, 2022, a bench of Justices Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud and Surya Kant had directed realtor Supertech Limited and demolition contractor Edifice Engineering to implement the Supreme Court court’s August 31, 2021 order to demolish the two 40-storey buildings, constructed in violation of building bylaws, without further hold-up.
