Yadav expressed confidence that Gaikwad’s time to shine in the senior T20I squad will come soon.
“Ruturaj is a fantastic player. He’s been consistent across all formats he plays,” Yadav commented in the pre-match press conference. “There’s a process within the team, and he’s following it well. Given his performance and talent, I believe his time will come soon.”
Gaikwad, known for his stellar performances in the IPL and consistent form in domestic circuits, has scored 633 runs in 23 T20Is at an average of 39.56, including a century and four fifties, with a high score of 123*.
