Melbourne [Australia]: Following his side’s five-wicket loss to India in their ICC T20 World Cup match, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam lauded Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya for their performances and said that knocks of Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed were the positives for his side.

An explosive half-century by star batter Virat Kohli and a century stand with Hardik Pandya helped India defeat Pakistan by four wickets in their Group 2, Super 12 match of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday.

“Our bowlers bowled really well. All credit to Kohli and Pandya. It wasn’t easy with the new ball. We had partnerships after 10 overs. We had a chance. We tried to stick to our plans. But credit to Virat Kohli. In the middle, we decided we wanted a wicket and held the spinner back. We had a lot of positives. The way Iftikhar played and the way Shan played,” said Azam in a post-match presentation.
