The International Cricket Council has approved the formation of a committee to study the growing influence of franchise cricket and find ways to protect the international calendar as more players choose lucrative T20 leagues over national commitments.
Pat Cummins, captain of Australia's Test and ODI teams, has reportedly been offered a massive long-term contract worth around USD 12 million to ensure his continued availability for national duty, particularly in Test cricket.
