Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off India's first hydrogen-powered train from Jind, Haryana, marking a major milestone in the country's clean transportation and green energy initiatives. The train will initially operate between Jind and Sonipat, covering an 89-kilometre route in approximately two hours.
The Delhi Cabinet has approved the Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2026, which is set to come into effect from July 1, 2026, with the objective of reducing air pollution and accelerating the shift to electric mobility.
