Ladakh has officially granted ‘industry’ status to its hospitality sector from June 1, 2026. The move is expected to reduce operational costs for hotels and guesthouses, encourage sustainable tourism, improve traveller facilities, and potentially lower accommodation prices, making Ladakh an even more attractive destination for Indian tourists.
