A political controversy erupted in West Bengal's Raniganj after Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Soumitra Banerjee was allegedly targeted by a group of protesters during a public event. Visuals from the scene showed demonstrators surrounding the leader as tensions escalated.
More than 20 people were injured when protesters stormed a Russian Makhachkala airport in Dagestan, including police and civilians, TASS reported.
