iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max May Launch In Second Week Of September: Check India Price, Design, Camera And More

July 17, 2025: Tech giant Apple is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 17 series, expected to launch between September 8 and 12, 2025, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The lineup will introduce a major shift in Apple’s iPhone portfolio with the addition of two new models: the iPhone 17 Air, replacing the Plus model, and the iPhone 17 Ultra, which is set to take over the Pro Max naming.

iPhone 17 Series: Models and Display Sizes

The upcoming series is expected to include:

  • iPhone 17 – 6.3-inch display
  • iPhone 17 Air – 6.5-inch display
  • iPhone 17 Pro – 6.3-inch display
  • iPhone 17 Ultra (Pro Max) – 6.9-inch display

All models are tipped to feature LTPO OLED panels, enabling dynamic refresh rates and potentially an Always-On Display, though that feature may be limited to Pro models.

Design and Build: Aluminum Makes a Comeback

Apple is rumored to standardize aluminum frames across the entire iPhone 17 lineup, including the Pro and Ultra variants. This marks a return to form, as Apple has previously reserved aluminum primarily for non-Pro models.

Camera Upgrades: Major Enhancements Across the Board

One of the standout features is the new horizontal camera bar expected on the iPhone 17 Pro, reminiscent of Google Pixel’s design but with Apple’s refined styling. Front camera resolution is rumored to double from 12MP to 24MP, and all rear cameras—including wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto—may be upgraded to 48MP sensors. This would mark a significant leap in both photography and videography.

iPhone 17 Series Expected India Pricing

  • iPhone 17: ~₹89,900
  • iPhone 17 Air: ~₹99,900
  • iPhone 17 Pro: ~₹1,39,900
  • iPhone 17 Ultra (Pro Max): ~₹1,64,900

Launch Timeline

Apple typically unveils its new iPhones after Labor Day, favoring Tuesdays. Based on this pattern, Gurman speculates the iPhone 17 launch event will most likely take place on September 9 or 10, with pre-orders to follow shortly after.
