December 2, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India: 165 players from the Women’s Premier League (WPL) second edition, including Danni Wyatt of England, Chamari Athapaththu of Sri Lanka, Priya Punia of India, and Deandra Dottin of the West Indies, will be up for auction on December 9 in Mumbai.
“The second edition of the Women’s Premier League Player Auction list is out with a total of 165 cricketers set to go under the gavel on December 9 in Mumbai,” according to a league statement.
Of the 165 players, 61 are from outside the country, of which 15 are from associate nations, and 104 are Indians. There are 109 uncapped players and 56 capped players overall. There are five teams and a maximum of thirty slots available, with nine spots reserved for international players.
With two players, Deandra Dottin and Kim Garth, opting to be placed in the top bracket, the highest reserve price is Rs 50 lakhs.
The auction list includes four players, each with a base price of Rs 40 Lakh. (ANI)
