18-Year-Old Corey Adams Fatally Shot In Memphis; Four Others Injured

July 20, 2025: An 18-year-old man, Corey Adams from New Orleans, Louisiana, was fatally shot Saturday night outside a home on Fern Glade Cove, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). The incident occurred shortly before 10:15 p.m.

Deputies stopped a vehicle at Forest Hill-Irene and Walnut Grove where they found Adams suffering from gunshot wounds. They administered life-saving measures until Shelby County Fire arrived, but Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition to Adams, four other men arrived at local hospitals by private vehicles with injuries from the shooting. All four victims are reported to be in non-critical condition.

Edna Karr High School, where Adams attended, released a statement through the Karr Cougars football team expressing their condolences.
