The internal rift within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) deepened on Saturday after senior leader Saurabh Bharadwaj accused Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha of deleting his past social media posts critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.

AAP Alleges ‘Clean-Up’ of X Timeline

Bharadwaj claimed that Chadha had “completely cleaned up his X timeline,” alleging that all earlier posts criticising PM Modi and the BJP had been removed.

He further stated that a keyword search of Chadha’s account showed no visible criticism of the Prime Minister or the ruling party.

According to Bharadwaj, only two posts mentioning Modi now remain on Chadha’s timeline, and both are supportive in tone.

‘Surgical Erasure of Digital History,’ Says AAP Leader

The AAP leader described the alleged deletion as a “surgical erasure of digital history,” suggesting that Chadha had reshaped his public image.

He also shared screenshots of allegedly deleted posts to support his claims, escalating the public dispute within the party.

Chadha–AAP Rift Widens After Rajya Sabha Removal

The controversy comes days after AAP removed Chadha from the post of deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, replacing him with another party MP.

The decision sparked criticism from opposition parties and triggered internal backlash, with Chadha questioning the move and defending his parliamentary performance.

AAP Leadership Accuses Chadha of ‘Soft PR’

Senior AAP leaders, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accused Chadha of avoiding strong opposition stands and engaging in what they called “soft PR politics.”

AAP also alleged that Chadha selectively raised issues that did not directly challenge the central government.

Chadha Hits Back, Calls Himself ‘Wounded Tiger’

Responding strongly, Chadha denied all allegations, calling himself a “wounded tiger” and rejecting claims that he had skipped opposition actions in Parliament.

He insisted he had consistently supported opposition walkouts and decisions, and challenged critics to produce evidence otherwise.

He also clarified his stance on a parliamentary impeachment motion, stating procedural limits on signatures and denying selective targeting.

Political Silence From Top Leadership

Amid the escalating dispute, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has not issued any public statement so far, even as the controversy continues to dominate political discussions.
