After Joining KKR As Mentor, Bravo Shares A Heartfelt Message For CSK Fans

Dwayne Bravo, the former West Indies all-rounder, recently expressed his gratitude towards Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as he transitioned to a new role with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the 2025 IPL season.

Bravo, who played a key role in CSK’s success for over a decade, has now joined KKR as their mentor, succeeding Gautam Gambhir.

In a heartfelt message shared on CSK’s official X handle, Bravo thanked the CSK management and fans for their unwavering support throughout his tenure. He acknowledged the bittersweet moment of moving on from CSK but asked fans to continue supporting him as he embraces a new chapter with KKR. He said, “I know this is a sad moment for you guys, but… continue to support me in everything that I do. Lot’s of love, yellove, all the time.”

This transition comes after Bravo’s recent retirement from all forms of cricket following an injury in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). His move to KKR marks his second major coaching role in the IPL, after serving as CSK’s bowling coach in the 2023 season. With KKR, Bravo is excited about mentoring young talent, especially given his decade-long experience with the Knight Riders’ CPL team, Trinbago Knight Riders.

Bravo’s impact on the IPL is significant, having claimed 183 wickets—making him the third-highest wicket-taker in the league’s history. He was also the first player to win two Purple Caps, in 2013 and 2015, further cementing his legacy.

Now stepping into a mentoring role with KKR, Bravo sees this as the perfect platform to transition into coaching and guiding the next generation of cricketers.
