All-Party Delegation Led by Ravi Shankar Prasad Embarks on Anti-Terror Mission to Europe
May 25, 2025: A high-level all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad departed for France on Sunday as part of a diplomatic initiative aimed at exposing Pakistan’s terror links and reaffirming India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
This marks the seventh such group formed by the Modi government under its post-Operation Sindoor outreach strategy. The delegation will visit six countries—France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the European Union headquarters, Italy, and Denmark.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Together in the fight against terrorism. The seventh group of All Party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has departed for 6-country visit.”
Delegation members include BJP leaders Daggubati Purandeswari, M.J. Akbar, Ghulam Ali Khatana, and Samik Bhattacharya, alongside Amar Singh from the Congress, Priyanka Chaturvedi from Shiv Sena (UBT), and former diplomat Pankaj Saran.
The objective of the mission is to brief international leaders on India’s firm response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and present a united national stance against terrorism, particularly state-sponsored activities traced back to Pakistan.
Ahead of departure, Ravi Shankar Prasad underscored India’s commitment to peace but reiterated that any terrorist aggression against Indians would be met with decisive action, referencing Operation Sindoor as a clear demonstration of India’s resolve.
“Today, terrorism is a cancer troubling the world. Pakistan is a major hub of such activity. We are going to Europe to present India’s strong stance,” Prasad told ANI.
He also praised the bipartisan nature of the delegation, highlighting its diverse makeup and calling it a “mini-India,” representing voices from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. The operation targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of over 100 militants affiliated with groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
The all-party mission reflects India’s broader strategy of uniting domestic political forces and international allies to combat global terrorism.
