Actor Anant Joshi, who recently portrayed Yogi Adityanath in Ajey: The Untold Story of a Yogi, will next be seen in the comedy film One Two Cha Cha Chaa, starring alongside Ashutosh Rana, Abhimanyu Singh, and Nyra Banerjee. In an exclusive conversation, Anant shared insights about his role, the challenges of comedy, and what drew him to the project.

“I’ve explored many different kinds of roles over the years, but this film offered a fresh perspective on comedy,” Anant said. “What drew me in was how it taps into the nostalgia of the films we grew up watching, while still keeping the humour relevant and contemporary.”
The 36-year-old actor emphasised the delicate nature of comedy, noting, “Comedy is not easy. It’s one of the most challenging genres. Playing it smoothly—where you don’t have to force laughs—makes it look all the more organic. That’s exactly how it felt while shooting this project.”
He further explained that the film’s humour is driven by characters’ behaviour and situational comedy rather than overt punchlines. “The laugh from the audience should come naturally, not forced. The balance of old-school charm with fresh humour made this experience incredibly exciting for me,” he added.
Anant stressed the importance of timing in comedy: “The humour doesn’t come from loud jokes, but from timing. That’s what makes it feel natural and keeps the audience engaged.”
One Two Cha Cha Chaa is scheduled to release on January 16, 2026.
