“Ashok Gehlot govt has given guarantees on paper leaks, crimes…”: BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India]: Targeting Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan Government over its poll promises in the upcoming elections, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the grand old party can only provide assurances on the paper leaks, boosting the morale of criminals and glorification of Mughals.

Speaking to media, Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “In 2018, Congress promised to waive off loans of farmers within 10 days. More than 5 per cent of farmers could not pay off their debts. The suicide of farmers became a normal thing in Rajasthan. Ashok Gehlot government has given guarantees on paper leaks. Law and order getting destroyed in Rajasthan is their guarantee.”

“Boosting the morale of criminals is their guarantee. Having a tussle in their own party is their guarantee. Glorification of Mughals is their guarantee,” he added.

He further stated assurances made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are credible.

“There is the only guarantee in this world that is ‘Modi’s guarantee’. What we promised we fulfilled. There was a credibility crisis in the political scenario but it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has displayed the essence of credibility through his work,” he said.

Meanwhile, Congress national general secretary KC Venugopal on Wednesday dismissed fears of disunity within the ranks saying that all leaders were working together to ensure the party’s return to the hustings in poll-bound Rajasthan.

“A narrative is being peddled that there is no unity within the Congress in Rajasthan. However, I can confirm that our party remains united as before. All our leaders are standing together and fighting with the common aim of ensuring the BJP’s defeat and returning to power in Rajasthan. I believe that the public mood and pulse are in our favour.

Let there be no worries. The Congress is on course to return to power in Rajasthan,” he said.

The counting of votes for the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly is scheduled for December 3.

In the 2018 assembly elections, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP had to settle for 73 seats in the 200-member House. Gehlot eventually took the oath as CM with the support of BSP MLAs and Independents.
