Balochistan Burns While Pakistan Covers Up Atrocities
London [UK], March 20: Prominent Baloch leader Mehran Marri has strongly condemned Pakistan’s intensified military crackdown in Balochistan, linking the recent Jaffar Express attack and Noshki bomb blast to the state’s ongoing repression in the region.
Marri accused Pakistan’s establishment of escalating human rights violations, highlighting the recent abduction of over 60 Baloch students from universities across Punjab and Sindh.
📢 “This is just the latest in a series of atrocities. The Pakistani military is systematically crushing Baloch identity. We will not stand down,” Marri declared.
The situation in Balochistan has reached a boiling point. In response to years of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and military raids, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) recently carried out:
The attacks, which resulted in multiple casualties among Pakistani security forces, mark a significant escalation in the ongoing insurgency.
🔍 Marri also pointed to Pakistani journalist Mansoor Ali Khan’s claims that Baloch fighters launched 57 attacks against the Pakistani military, contradicting the government’s reports of only 12 injuries and six deaths.
📢 “The numbers don’t add up. Pakistan’s lies are being exposed,” Marri stated, accusing the government of covering up the real scale of Baloch resistance.
The persecution of Baloch activists and intellectuals continues:
📌 Mahrang Baloch, a human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee, was portrayed as a criminal by Pakistan’s state-controlled media.
📢 “Pakistan’s ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) manipulates the truth. A Nobel nominee is treated like a terrorist while actual war criminals walk free,” Marri said.
Despite multiple reports from Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, Pakistan continues to ignore allegations of torture, abductions, and illegal detentions.
🔴 Marri accused Pakistan of dismissing international reports, constantly shifting blame to external forces:
❌ First, they blame India
❌ Then, the Jewish world
❌ Finally, the American lobby
Marri dismissed any possibility of reconciliation between Balochistan and Pakistan, arguing that the nation was artificially created for geopolitical purposes and is now obsolete.
📢 “Pakistan is nothing more than a British acronym. It had a purpose, and that purpose has expired. The world sees this, but the Pakistani military refuses to accept reality.”
With the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, Pakistan has lost its strategic relevance, and many of its international backers are backing off.
📢 “The Americans no longer see Pakistan as a reliable partner. Even its closest allies are walking away,” Marri claimed.
Marri made it clear:
💬 The Baloch people will accept nothing less than full independence.
💬 There is too much bad blood, too much suffering.
📢 “We have been cheated, lied to, and treated as inferior for too long. The Baloch nation will never bow down to Pakistan’s tyranny.”
As Pakistan intensifies its military operations, the Baloch resistance is strengthening, setting the stage for a long and bloody battle for independence.
