Bangladesh Plane Crash: Air Force Jet Crashes Into College Canteen in Dhaka, 1 Dead, 26 Injured

July 21, 2025: Bangladesh Plane Crash– This Monday afternoon, a Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) F-7 BJI training plane crashed into a canteen on the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, Dhaka. Emergency personnel are still working on the scene of the terrible event, which has already killed at least one person and hurt 26 others.

The crash happened at about 1:06 PM local time, not long after the training jet took off. The Bangladesh Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said that the F-7 BJI, which was thought to have only the pilot on board, lost control before hitting the ground.

Witnesses said that shortly after it happened, the area was filled with thick smoke and people yelling for help. Three viral videos on social media show the wreckage on fire and people who were hurt in it.

At least eight fire departments from different stations, as well as members of the Bangladesh Army, Fire Service, and Civil Defense, raced to the area to help. Five They are now working to put out the fire and help the affected victims.

One burned body has been found, but the actual number of deaths is still being determined. A total of 26 people, including children, who were hurt in a fire have been sent to hospitals, including the National Institute of Burn & Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) and Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Deputy Commissioner Mohidul Islam of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Uttara division verified that the plane hit a building at Milestone College.

An investigation has begun to find out exactly what caused the accident of the Chinese-made F-7 BJI, which the Bangladesh Air Force sometimes uses for training. More news is expected as the search and rescue efforts continue.
