Bill Gates Enjoys Vada Pav With Sachin Tendulkar, See Video!

March 21, 2025: Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates recently shared a heartwarming video on his Instagram, featuring a snack break with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. In the video, Gates and Tendulkar can be seen enjoying a traditional Indian snack—vada pav—while sitting on a bench, with the caption, “A snack break before we get to work.” The clip ended with a playful note: “Serving soon.”

Reflecting on his visit to India, Gates wrote in a blog post, “I came away with new ideas because India is full of smart, ambitious people tackling some of the world’s hardest problems in creative ways.” His trip, which was likely focused on philanthropy and global health, allowed him to engage with innovative minds working on pressing global issues.

Sachin Tendulkar, widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time, is known not only for his on-field accomplishments but also for his humility and global influence. Often referred to as the ‘God of Cricket,’ Tendulkar holds the record for the most runs in both Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs). His career, which spanned over two decades, was marked by numerous remarkable achievements, including 100 international centuries—an unmatched record in the world of cricket.

Tendulkar made his Test debut on November 15, 1989, at the tender age of 16, and played his first ODI later that year in December. In his illustrious career, he scored a total of 34,357 runs across 664 international matches. He also set the record for the first-ever double century in ODIs and became the only player to have played 200 Test matches. His 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries in ODIs, along with his 51 centuries and 68 fifties in Tests, remain unmatched in cricket history.

The cricketer’s crowning achievement came in 2011 when he was part of India’s ICC Cricket World Cup-winning squad, fulfilling his lifelong dream of lifting the prestigious trophy. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Tendulkar represented Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013, helping them secure their first IPL title in 2013.

Despite his retirement, Tendulkar continues to inspire millions worldwide with his dedication, passion for cricket, and commitment to excellence. Bill Gates’ recent visit to India and his interaction with Tendulkar have once again highlighted the shared values of ambition and impact between two icons from vastly different fields. Gates’ recognition of India’s innovative spirit, coupled with Tendulkar’s legacy, provides a powerful message of the importance of collaboration and creativity in solving global challenges.
