Sanjay Singh Takes a Jibe at BJP After PM Modi's Remarks on AAP
New Delhi, January 5: Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sharp critique of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during his speech at the ‘Parivartan Rally’ in Rohini, AAP MP Sanjay Singh hit back, claiming that Delhi stands firmly with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his governance model.
Addressing the media, Sanjay Singh took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for contesting the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections without projecting a Chief Ministerial candidate.
“Nothing will happen because of what PM Modi says in his speech. Delhi takes pride in Arvind Kejriwal and his work. They are against common people and have bulldozed the slums where poor people live. PM Modi should not be worried—they are out here like a ‘procession without a groom’. BJP has already lost the elections even before they began,” said Singh.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi addressed the ‘Parivartan Rally’ at Japanese Park, Rohini, urging Delhi voters to give the BJP a chance in the upcoming Assembly elections. He criticized AAP’s governance over the past decade, calling it no less than a ‘tragedy’ and terming it ‘AAP-DA’ (a play on the Hindi word ‘Aapda,’ meaning disaster).
*”We need to develop Delhi into the capital of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). I appeal to the people of Delhi to give an opportunity to the BJP for a brighter future. The last 10 years have been nothing short of an ‘AAP-DA’. Now, one slogan echoes across Delhi: ‘AAP-DA nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge’ (We won’t tolerate disaster, we will bring change).”
The Prime Minister further emphasized the BJP’s focus on good governance and citizen welfare. He expressed confidence that the people of Delhi trust the BJP to bring transformative change.
“In Delhi, only one voice is resonating—change is inevitable. Delhi wants development, and I am glad that the people place their trust in BJP. We are a party that believes in good governance, service, and fulfilling the dreams of citizens,” said PM Modi.
With the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections approaching, the political discourse between the AAP and BJP is expected to intensify, with both parties presenting their respective governance models to win voter trust.
