The Indian hockey team’s victory was secured by a brace from skipper Harmanpreet Singh and effortless saves by PR Sreejesh, leading to a 2-1 win over Spain at the Yves du Manoir Stadium. This win marks the first time in 52 years, since the 1972 Munich Games, that India has won consecutive bronze medals in Olympic hockey.

The Indian team, playing in an electrifying atmosphere, added a fourth medal to their tally at the Paris Olympics. After being down 0-1 after the first quarter, they made a remarkable comeback, with Sreejesh, who was playing his last game for India, joining the team in an emotional celebration of this historic moment.

Under the guidance of coach Craig Fulton, India made history and secured back-to-back bronze medals at the Olympics. Goals from Harmanpreet Singh (30′, 33′) were crucial in leading India to victory, with Spain’s Marc Miralles (18′) scoring the lone goal for his team.
