Border 2 Crosses Rs 300 Crore Mark

Sunny Deol–Diljit Dosanjh starrer beats Dhoom and Sultan, eyes bigger blockbusters

February 8, 2026: Border 2 continues its steady box office run and has officially entered the Rs 300 crore club. The war drama, starring Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan, has collected Rs 301.50 crore so far. With this milestone, the film has surpassed the lifetime collections of Dhoom and Sultan, and is now chasing the box office figures of Padmaavat, War, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Border 2 earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore on Day 16, marking a nearly 49 per cent jump from Day 15, when collections dipped to Rs 2.85 crore. While the film saw a decline after the Republic Day boost, it showed signs of recovery on the second Sunday with Rs 22.5 crore. Its first-week collection stood strong at Rs 224.25 crore, followed by Rs 70.15 crore in Week 2, indicating a slower but stable momentum.

In terms of occupancy, the film recorded an overall rate of 15.88 per cent on Saturday, with night shows performing the best. Chennai reported the highest occupancy at 97 per cent, albeit with limited shows, while the NCR region had the maximum number of screenings but lower footfall. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is a sequel to the 1997 classic Border and is based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Made on a budget of Rs 275 crore, the film has so far earned an estimated profit of Rs 26.50 crore.
