
British Ex-PM Rishi Sunak, in Mumbai; Plays Tennis Ball Cricket

Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak embraced Mumbai’s vibrant culture on Sunday by playing a game of tennis ball cricket at the historic Parsee Gymkhana. Sunak participated in the club’s anniversary celebrations, blending into the cricket-loving city with enthusiasm.
“No trip to Mumbai is complete without a game of tennis ball cricket,” Sunak wrote on X, sharing his excitement.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “Great to be with all of you at the Parsee Gymkhana Club during its anniversary celebrations. What an extraordinary achievement. So much history and so much exciting stuff to come. I managed not to get out too many times this morning.”

He expressed his eagerness to visit again, saying he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Established on February 25, 1885, under the leadership of Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy as its founder president and Jamsetjee Tata as chairman, the Parsee Gymkhana has been a cornerstone of India’s cricketing heritage. The club moved to its current scenic location along Marine Drive in 1887, adding charm to its historic legacy.
