Real Madrid’s manager affirms his commitment to the club, dismissing speculation about his departure.
Madrid [Spain], January 22: Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed reports suggesting his potential exit from Santiago Bernabéu at the end of the season. Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash against RB Salzburg, Ancelotti reaffirmed his commitment to the club and addressed rumors about his departure.
Currently, Real Madrid sits atop La Liga with a two-point advantage over Atletico Madrid, chasing their second consecutive league title. Despite being contracted until 2026, speculation surfaced online indicating Ancelotti might leave Los Blancos this summer.
However, the Italian tactician clarified his stance during a pre-match press conference.
“I want to be very clear: the date when I’ll be leaving this club will never be decided by me. Never. I am perfectly aware that this day will come. When will this day be? I don’t know. That’s not for me to decide,” Ancelotti said, according to Sky Sports.
“Florentino and I Can Make a Joint Farewell”
Ancelotti also hinted at a desire to remain at Real Madrid for as long as club president Florentino Pérez continues his tenure.
“It can be tomorrow [Wednesday] after the game, it can be after the next game, it can be in a year, or it can be in five years. Florentino knows me very well. My goal is to stay here as long as he’s president. Maybe we can make a joint farewell with all the love in the world,” he added.
A Record-Breaking Legacy
Last month, Ancelotti solidified his status as the most successful manager in Real Madrid’s history, guiding the club to its 15th Intercontinental Cup victory in Qatar. With the legendary manager at the helm, Los Blancos have added several trophies to their illustrious cabinet, further strengthening his legacy.
As Real Madrid prepares for their midweek Champions League encounter, Ancelotti’s unwavering commitment underscores his intention to continue shaping the club’s future.
