CBI Secures Sanction to Prosecute Satyendra Jain in Disproportionate Assets Case

Supplementary chargesheet filed as investigation concludes; court to consider matter on January 22.

New Delhi, January 13: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has obtained sanction to prosecute senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi minister Satyendra Jain in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case. The agency has also filed a supplementary chargesheet on January 4, 2025, after completing further investigation in the matter.

Special Judge Jitendra Singh has scheduled the case for consideration on January 22. Jain and other accused, who were earlier charge-sheeted in 2019, are currently out on bail.

The supplementary chargesheet was finally filed on January 4, 2025. The matter will now be considered by the court on January 22, marking a critical step in the legal proceedings against Jain.
