The 36-year-old batter has struggled against spinners in recent ODIs, with his latest dismissal against Bangladesh’s leg-spinner Rishad Hossain adding to his woes. Kohli has now been dismissed six times in a row by spinners in ODIs, including recent dismissals to England’s Adil Rashid.

Recognizing this challenge, Kohli faced an extended spin-heavy net session, tackling leg-break bowlers, off-spinners, and left-arm spinners to rectify his approach before facing Pakistan’s spin attack.

However, India’s primary challenge will be handling Pakistan’s pace trio of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah—who are under pressure after a poor outing against New Zealand.

India are in a comfortable position after their win over Bangladesh, but for Pakistan, this is a must-win game.
