While batting on 54, Kohli suddenly gestured toward Sanju Samson, asking the Rajasthan Royals captain and wicketkeeper to check his heartbeat. In what seemed like a mix of banter and genuine concern, Samson obliged, placing his hand on Kohli’s chest behind the stumps. Kohli touched his own chest again, smiled faintly — and carried on batting.

Match Recap: Kohli, Salt Demolish Royals

Earlier, Phil Salt’s blazing 65 off 33 balls set the platform for RCB’s smooth chase of 174. He and Kohli stitched a 92-run opening stand that took the game away from RR early on.

Even after Salt’s dismissal, Kohli remained composed, guiding RCB home with an unbeaten 62 off 44 balls, alongside Devdutt Padikkal (40*). The duo wrapped up the chase with 15 balls to spare.
