Precision IAF strikes leave hangars destroyed and craters on runways across key Pakistani air bases including Nur Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, and Mushaf.
New Delhi, May 13:
New satellite imagery accessed has revealed the clearest visual evidence yet of the destruction caused by India’s retaliatory airstrikes on Pakistani military installations during Operation Sindoor. The images, sourced from Maxar Technologies, show extensive damage to several Pakistani Air Force (PAF) bases, with hangars obliterated and runways pockmarked with craters.
🎯 Key Sites Damaged in the Strikes:

- Rahim Yar Khan (Punjab) – Runway severely damaged, as seen in Indian Air Force footage

- Sukkur (Sindh) – Infrastructure at the air base completely gutted
- Jacobabad (Shahbaz Air Base) – Hangar reduced to rubble

🇮🇳 IAF Precision Strikes
According to Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, the Indian Air Force used air-launched precision weapons to strike command centers, radar installations, hangars, and munitions depots.

At a separate briefing, Air Marshal AK Bharti confirmed that India’s actions were part of a measured response to Pakistan’s reckless use of drones and missiles, which targeted civilian areas and strategic bases across India’s western sector.
He displayed a video of Nur Khan base in flames and runway destruction at Rahim Yar Khan, underlining the impact of India’s strategic targeting.
🛡️ Context: What Triggered the Operation?
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 people, including a Nepali citizen. India blames Pakistan-based terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, and Hizbul Mujahideen for the attack.
In its overnight retaliatory operation, India struck nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Over 100 terrorists were reportedly killed.
Pakistan responded with drone and missile attacks targeting western Indian states — all of which were successfully intercepted.
🕊️ Ceasefire in Effect – For Now
Following four days of intense cross-border military activity, both countries agreed to a US-facilitated ceasefire on Saturday, which has held since, barring minor initial violations.
India has warned that any future provocation or act of terror will be met with “more forceful retaliation.”
