
Coldplay Smashes Taylor Swift’s Record for Most-Attended Concert Tour
February 1, 2025: Coldplay recently shattered a global record, surpassing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour for the most-attended concert tour in history.
The British rock band has sold over 10.3 million tickets during its Music of the Spheres World Tour, which began in March 2022 in Costa Rica. With eight months remaining, the tour is poised to further extend this record, according to Guinness World Records on January 30.

Coldplay’s attendance figures saw a significant surge following their electrifying India leg, which featured five sold-out shows:
The band shared their heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Thank you Ahmedabad, thank you India. We’ll never forget these two weeks. Your love and kindness will stay with us forever.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the impact of Coldplay’s concerts, emphasizing the growing popularity of live events in India. “The magnificent images from Coldplay’s concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad are a testimony to the rising demand for live events in our country,” he said during a recent speech.
Coldplay’s next tour stop is in April in Hong Kong, followed by shows in Seoul and the United States.
While Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour remains the highest-grossing music tour at $2.07 billion, Coldplay could potentially overtake this milestone by the end of their tour, Guinness World Records noted.
