Coldplay’s Biggest Ever Concert- Band Thanks Ahmedabad Calls It “Totally Mind-Blowing”

January 26, 2025: Coldplay made history on Saturday by delivering their biggest concert ever at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The British rock legends performed at the world’s largest cricket stadium, which has a seating capacity of over one lakh, marking a new milestone in their ongoing Music of the Spheres India tour.

Taking to their official X (formerly Twitter) account, Coldplay shared a picture from their electrifying performance, captioned, “Our biggest ever concert. Totally mind-blowing. Thank you Ahmedabad ❤️ See you again tomorrow – and if you’re in India, please join us on Disney+ Hotstar from 7.45 pm ✨.”

The band will perform another show at the same venue on Sunday, coinciding with Republic Day celebrations. This event will be livestreamed for Indian audiences on Disney+ Hotstar, ensuring fans across the country can join in the excitement.

In another social media post, the band playfully referenced cricket, showcasing a drawing of a cricket ball labeled “Ahmedabad, 1/25” and joking, “I think even Jasprit might struggle to bowl with this badly drawn ball, but at least it is almost spherical.” Frontman Chris Martin also gave a nod to Indian cricket during their earlier Mumbai gigs, showing a clip of Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling that led India to victory over England.
