Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh) [India]: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has slammed the Congress party alleging that they (Congress) had stopped their (BJP government) schemes of giving laptops to the students, who scored good marks in class 12 board exam.
CM Chouhan made the remark while addressing a public meeting in Vijaypur area in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district on Monday.
“We give laptops to those who score good marks but the Congress had stopped our scheme. Till now I used to give laptops to students who scored 75 per cent marks and now I will give laptops to the students who will score 60 percent so that they can study well. I also provide scooty to the children so that they should get inspiration to study. I will work to improve the future of the children. I am concerned about it,” the CM said.
He further said that he wanted to make the future of the children better and therefore he would ensure that the children getting admission on the basis of their merit in medical college, engineering college, IIT, IIM, Law College or any other institutes have funds to pay their fees.
“I will not let the dreams of children die. To improve the future of the children, their Mama (referring to himself) is with them. This time, we have decided that one job should be given to every family. No family will be left behind. Every family will have a job.
LPG cylinders will be provided at the rate of Rs 450. I will not let any problem remain in people’s lives. Your (the public) betterment is the aim of my life,” the CM added.
The state is set to go to the polls on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies.
The last state assembly polls in 2018 saw the Congress coming to power, with veteran leader Kamal Nath taking oath as the chief minister. Nonetheless, a political upheaval rocked the state in 2020 after then-Congressman Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with 22 loyalist MLAs, switched over to the saffron camp.
The Congress government fell after being reduced to a minority and the BJP formed the government, with Shivraj Singh Chouhan returning as chief minister.
