The festivities featured powerful messages from global spiritual figures.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati said:“Dalai Lama ji is a blessing to the world. His message is simple — peace, not pieces.”

Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati echoed this, stating:“Even amidst pain, His Holiness teaches us to choose compassion over conflict.”

Jain monk Acharya Lokesh Muni added,“Religion must unite, not divide. Today, we say — we want Buddha, not Yuddh.”

This event kicks off a larger set of celebrations, including a three-day global Buddhist conference from July 2 to 4 in Dharamshala. The Dalai Lama is expected to deliver a major address that could offer rare insights into the future of the Tibetan reincarnation tradition and his succession plans.

Additionally, the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) will host a grand event on July 13 in New Delhi to mark the Nobel Laureate’s legacy.
