Cricket Fraternity Wish Women In Blue luck For T20 World Cup

Star Indian cricketers KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill have shown their support for the Indian women’s cricket team ahead of their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup campaign, which started on Thursday.

The Women in Blue will kick off their tournament by facing New Zealand on Friday. As the Indian women’s team aims for their first-ever T20 World Cup title, these messages of encouragement from the men’s team are a boost for morale.

Shubman Gill expressed his admiration for the women’s team on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Your dedication and passion inspire millions. We’re all behind you as you shine on the world stage!”

KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant also took to X, wishing the team success.

Pant added that the entire country is “rooting for them.”

The Indian women’s team has come close to World Cup glory before, finishing as runners-up in the 2020 edition, where they lost to Australia. In last year’s T20 World Cup, India made it to the semifinals, narrowly losing to Australia by five runs. Despite mixed results in the lead-up to the tournament, including losses to Australia and England earlier this year, the team has bounced back with series wins against Bangladesh and a strong performance in the Asia Cup.

The squad, led by Harmanpreet Kaur and featuring stars like Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, and Jemimah Rodrigues, is determined to go all the way this time. Fans across the country, along with Indian cricket’s biggest names, will be hoping to see the Women in Blue clinch their first World Cup title.
