Delhi Crime Season 3 Teaser: Shefali Shah Takes on Huma Qureshi in a Battle Against Human Trafficking

Madam Sir Returns: Shefali Shah leads the charge in Netflix’s gripping crime drama, with Huma Qureshi debuting as a formidable antagonist.

February 4, 2025: Netflix has unveiled its much-awaited teaser for Delhi Crime Season 3, and it’s as riveting as ever. The critically acclaimed series returns with Shefali Shah reprising her role as DIG Vartika Chaturvedi, aka “Madam Sir.” This time, the stakes are higher as the team takes on a vast human trafficking network, with Huma Qureshi stepping in as the antagonist.

The teaser, released at Netflix India’s grand event in Mumbai, opens with DIG Vartika Chaturvedi and her team rescuing trafficked girls from a truck. The investigation begins with the search for an injured baby’s missing mother, leading them to uncover a global trafficking network. Huma Qureshi, in her impactful entry, is seen coercing a young girl into marriage, portraying a chilling adversary.

Shefali Shah is joined by series regulars Rasika Dugal (IPS Neeti Singh) and Rajesh Tailang (Inspector Bhupendra Singh). The tagline, “Human lives are not for sale,” sets the tone for a heart-wrenching narrative exploring the dark realities of human trafficking.

New Additions and Legacy:

Directed by Tanuj Chopra, the new season features an ensemble cast, including Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, and Jaya Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. This marks Huma Qureshi’s debut in the series, adding to her impressive repertoire, which recently included the hit show Maharani Season 3.

Delhi Crime scripted history in 2020 when its first season became the first Indian series to win the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series. With its hard-hitting themes and stellar performances, the show has cemented its place as one of Netflix India’s flagship productions.

Huma Qureshi is also gearing up for her role in Jolly LLB 3, alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, adding another feather to her cap of successful performances.
