February 5, 2025: The much-anticipated Delhi Assembly Election 2025 is underway, with a voter turnout of 19.95% recorded by 11 AM. The voting began at 7 AM across 13,766 polling stations in the national capital and will continue until 6 PM. Citizens are deciding the fate of 699 candidates vying for seats in the 70-member House.

Security and Voter Participation
To ensure a smooth voting process, over 30,000 police personnel and 220 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed across Delhi. The Election Commission has also introduced a Queue Management System (QMS) app, allowing voters to check crowd levels in real time. The North East district recorded the highest turnout at 24.87%, while the Central district logged the lowest at 16.46% till 11 AM.
