Diamond League 2024 : Avinash Sable To Join Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra To Compete In Brussels

The Brussels Diamond League 2024, the fifteenth and final meet of the season, is set to take place on September 13 and 14 at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, Belgium. Known as the Allianz Memorial Van Damme, this prestigious event will feature the world’s top athletes competing for one last chance to secure victory in their respective disciplines.

On Day 1, Indian 3000m steeplechase runner Avinash Sable will make his Diamond League final debut. Ranked fourteenth in his discipline, Sable will face fierce competition from elite athletes such as Samuel Firewu (Ethiopia), Amos Serem (Kenya), Abraham Kibiwot (Kenya), and Getnet Wale (Ethiopia). This marks a significant milestone in Sable’s career, as he looks to challenge the best in the world.

On Day 2, Neeraj Chopra, the Paris 2024 silver medallist, will compete in the javelin throw final. Currently ranked fourth in the standings with 14 points, Chopra will go up against strong contenders like Anderson Peters (Grenada), the points leader and Paris 2024 bronze medallist, as well as Julian Weber (Germany).
