Disturbing Video Shows Cher’s Son Elijah Blue Allman Disoriented Outside LA Hotel Amid Ongoing Addiction Struggles

The 48-year-old son of music icon Cher was seen in a distressed state near Chateau Marmont as concerns grow over his mental health and substance abuse issues.

May 10, 2025: Los Angeles, CA — Disturbing new footage has surfaced showing Elijah Blue Allman, son of legendary singer Cher and the late Gregg Allman, in a visibly distressed state outside Chateau Marmont in Hollywood. The 48-year-old musician appeared disoriented, wearing ripped clothing and walking erratically near the valet entrance of the iconic hotel.

In the footage first released by the Daily Mail, Allman is seen sweating, stumbling, and staring blankly into the distance, pausing near the valet tent before slowly walking away. He wore a torn T-shirt, baggy shorts, and appeared to have swollen ankles and a single red acrylic fingernail on his right ring finger. A cigarette dangled from his hand during parts of the video.

Elijah, known for his work as a guitarist and as part of the band Deadsy, has long battled addiction. He made headlines in late 2023 when his mother Cher filed for temporary sole conservatorship, citing his “severe mental health and substance abuse issues.” In court documents, Cher claimed that any financial distributions to Elijah would be immediately used for drugs, potentially placing his life at risk.

Though the court proceedings continued for months, Cher dropped the petition in September 2024, after what her legal team described as a “healing” mediation process.

“This outcome allows the parties to focus on healing and rebuilding their family bond,” her attorneys stated at the time.

Earlier this year in April, Elijah’s wife of 11 years, Marieangela King, filed for divorce. The pair had married in December 2013.

Elijah has spoken openly about his history with substance abuse. In a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed that he began experimenting with drugs at the age of 11, describing several close brushes with death and stating, “You can just slip into the abyss.”

While Cher has been public about her concerns, the latest footage is a grim reminder of the continuing struggles faced by Elijah. As of now, there has been no official comment from either Cher or Elijah’s representatives.
