Cairo, Egypt – December 9: Egypt has called on all Syrian parties to prioritize national interests by unifying their objectives and working toward a comprehensive and inclusive political process. The appeal, issued on Sunday, aims to foster internal harmony, peace, and stability while restoring Syria’s regional and international standing.
In a statement carried by Ahram Online, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged Syrian stakeholders to protect the nation’s resources and safeguard its national institutions amid ongoing challenges.
“Egypt reaffirms its steadfast support for the Syrian state and its people, emphasizing Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity,” the ministry declared.
Cairo underlined its dedication to collaborating with regional and international partners to alleviate the long-standing suffering of the Syrian people. The statement highlighted Egypt’s role in supporting reconstruction efforts, facilitating the safe return of Syrian refugees, and contributing to the stability that Syria deserves.
“Egypt remains committed to efforts aimed at rebuilding Syria, ensuring a secure environment for returning refugees, and achieving lasting peace,” the ministry added.
Egypt’s call for unity comes at a critical time as the Syrian crisis continues to pose significant humanitarian and geopolitical challenges. By advocating for a unified approach and inclusive governance, Egypt aims to play a pivotal role in fostering a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
As regional and international stakeholders navigate the complexities of the Syrian situation, Egypt’s emphasis on sovereignty, stability, and reconstruction underscores its commitment to a brighter future for the Syrian people.
