Farhan Akhtar Shares Quirky Birthday Wish for Wife Shibani Dandekar

Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar showcased his playful side with a touch of romance as he wished his wife, actress Shibani Dandekar, on her birthday.

Taking to Instagram, Farhan shared a stunning photo of Shibani, who is seen smiling while looking away from the camera. She sported a chic look with a white top, a jacket, and a large hat—something Farhan couldn’t resist playfully teasing in his caption.

In his quirky message, Farhan wrote, “Happy birthday Shu.. I don’t think anyone has looked this beautiful balancing a sada dosa on their head. @shibaniakhtar love you more than you know.” The post quickly garnered attention, with fans and fellow celebrities flooding the comment section with birthday wishes.

Priyanka Chopra joined in with a light-hearted comment, “Haha happy birthday Shibani,” while Zoya Akhtar added, “Hahahahaha. Happy Birthday.” Shibani’s sister, Anusha Dandekar, affectionately called her “chicken” and added her own humorous twist by responding to Farhan’s caption with, “And the Masala is in her brain. Happy Birthdaaaaaay Chicken.”

Farhan and Shibani, who dated for nearly three years, tied the knot on February 19, 2022, at Farhan’s family farmhouse in Khandala, surrounded by close friends and family. Farhan was previously married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani, with whom he shares two daughters, Shakya and Akira.

In professional news, Farhan Akhtar is set to return to the director’s chair with the highly anticipated ‘Don 3,’ starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani. In August 2023, Farhan made the big reveal through a special announcement video, where Ranveer Singh was introduced as the new Don. The teaser showed Ranveer seated in a building with his back to the camera, lighting a cigarette and confidently introducing himself as Don before turning to face the audience. The iconic character was previously portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in earlier versions.

The ‘Don’ franchise is known for its compelling stories, thrilling action, and unforgettable moments. The original ‘Don,’ released in 2006, featured Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani, and won Best Asian Film at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival. Its successful sequel followed in 2011, with a special appearance by Hrithik Roshan. Farhan’s ‘Don’ series is a modern remake of the 1978 classic, which starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
