February 4, 2025: Five people were injured in a shooting at an adult education center in Orebro, Sweden, on Tuesday. Lena Warenmark, a teacher at the school, reported hearing around 10 gunshots. Meanwhile, Andreas Sundling, a 28-year-old on campus, recounted, “We heard three bangs and loud screams. We’ve barricaded ourselves and are waiting to be evacuated.”

Emergency responders, including ambulances and rescue services, arrived swiftly, and Orebro University Hospital confirmed the admission of four patients from the incident. Local hospitals have cleared emergency rooms to prepare for additional casualties.

Although school attacks are rare in Sweden, recent years have seen similar tragic incidents. In March 2022, two teachers were fatally stabbed at a high school in Malmo, while another stabbing involving a student and teacher occurred in Kristianstad earlier the same year.
