Gaza Under Fire: Are We Seeing the Final Phase of Israel’s War Plan?

July 6, 2025: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday that it struck approximately 130 terror targets across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, significantly ramping up its operations against Hamas and affiliated militant groups.

Ground forces launched widespread raids and airstrikes, with combat units operating in both northern and southern Gaza. In Khan Yunis, troops discovered weapons stockpiles and destroyed terror tunnels in the Jenina neighborhood of Rafah. In Gaza City, soldiers neutralized terrorists, eliminated observation posts, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure.

The IDF reported successful strikes on explosives depots, Hamas buildings, and rocket launchers in areas like Jabaliya and Daraj-Tuffah, aided by air support targeting command centers and terrorist squads.

Meanwhile, tensions escalated further after a grenade attack injured two American aid workers in southern Gaza on Saturday. Both Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the U.S. government pointed fingers at Hamas for the attack.

According to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an explosive packed with ball bearings was hurled at a food distribution center — a move they also blamed on Hamas. Netanyahu condemned it as a terror attack, while U.S. officials cited it as evidence of the group’s “depravity.”

The backdrop of this conflict remains the October 7 Hamas assault, in which 1,180 people were killed and 252 hostages were taken into Gaza. Of the remaining 50 hostages, approximately 30 are believed to have died, further intensifying calls for continued Israeli military action.
